METROPOLIS process Step 3: FLATTERING ;)

"Flattering" in comics and illustration does not refer to complimenting the work, it is a process in which, each Layer is separated with a flat color area, in my case, using the help of Photoshop's layer option:Clipping Mask.

This is should make the coloring so much easy. Still to go: Light and Shading, Fog and the animated windows.

Thanks and Enjoy

METROPOLIS process Step 2: Clean Up

This is the trace over the previous sketch. All the Layers are now cropped and composed over each other. Normally I'd trace my drawings with a Staedtler fine point pen, But as I'm trying to give these backgrounds a more hand-drawn feel I'm keeping the sketchy pencil line.

Thanks and Enjoy!
