METROPOLIS process Step 2: Clean Up

This is the trace over the previous sketch. All the Layers are now cropped and composed over each other. Normally I'd trace my drawings with a Staedtler fine point pen, But as I'm trying to give these backgrounds a more hand-drawn feel I'm keeping the sketchy pencil line.

METROPOLIS process Step 1: Sketch

This is the roughest design for an animation Background. All the buildings are placed on different layers with different transparency values so it can generate some depth. I think the result of this test came out great.



There is some obvious reference to the work of Boris Bilinsky

Here's my entry to MARCH MODOK MADNESS



For those who don't know M.O.D.O.K (Mobile/Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing)is an Iron Man Villain that mutated into a giant head with little arms and legs, so he's forced to ride on a transport that makes him look a bit freaky.
