A LITTLE GOBLIN THAT WISHES HE WAS A MAN.
This is the Goblin President.
His Mother was a Human. His Father was a Goblin.
They both disowned him very early.
He is to cute to be a proper Goblin and too ugly to be a human.
Everybody hates him.
When he is alone in his cave, he climbs over a headless mannequin, and sits on the neck.
For a few moments he feels like he's a human. It feels good.

ROSIE THE ROBOTEER
This is the cover I did for PROYECTO DISEÑO MAGAZINE #72 XIV LAPIZ DE ACERO (steel pencil) AWARD NOMINEES Edition.
This is a simple story. I was asked to do a cover with the only condition that I should include the "Lapiz de Acero" statuette in the image. I did four proposals for this cover.
1. War of the worlds 2.Space Oddysey
3. Steampunk 4. The window.
For some people it may be kind of obvious that most images come from some specific references. I have a lot of baggage in my head.
Fortunately my friend (and sometimes mentor) Andres Barrientos, one of Colombia's best illustrators, gave me some advice on the management of cliches in the image. So, I subverted the meaning of the images. Woman building robot, turned into Robot building human. Giving life with the afore mentioned Statuette.
I worked mostly on lights and transparencies. Not so much on textures. I gave it an over all shadow that turned it a bit "baroque" at the end.
Here are some shots of the PROYECTO DISEÑO stand at the FERIA DEL LIBRO BOGOTÁ 2011.
A shot about the cover at an expo called ZONA D at LOS HEROES monument (Thanks to Catalina for this one)
And a shot of the inside article they did about my work
And now, it's been featured in SUPER PUNCH :D
Really nice.
Thanks for reading.
(Thanks to Paula, Juan Felipe, Adriana, Santiago, Javier, Another Santiago and Andres, Willy, Gustavo, Emiliana, Camila, Blanca) who took the time to give me their opinion.

E-GO character designs. Tad & E-GO!
E-GO! is the prototype of a series of robots built for a very specific labor. But this E-GO! unlike his mass produced mates has a huge flaw that reveals a huge conspiracy and triggers a series of adventures when he meets with Tad.
This is an updated design for a project I started on 2007. For previous designs and sketches http://www.flickr.com/photos/elprofe/2047988386/in/set-72157615200756405/
Tad comes from a broken home. His father left before he was born and his mother spends all of her time away, working as a freelance journalist. Because of this, Tad has little self-esteem and is scared mostly of everything. He has built an armor to hide from all fears that torment him.

MOTAS (Fluffy), THE DOG THAT TELLS YOU HOW TO VOTE.
"Motas, the dog that tells you how to vote" is the second episode of a series of animated shorts broadcasted by canal uno in Colombia.
Given that we have very little time to do this shorts and they are mainly monologues, image-wise we are concentrating more on a striking design of the characters and scenery. This is supposed to be a middle-class home with some local icons. The sad clown, the ballerina and the bowl of porcelain candy.
Watch the short here.
Here are some of the previous designs for the character.
Thanks.
